Red Sox Re-Sign Right-Hander Jeremias Sucre for 2025 Season

BRANTFORD, ON – The Brantford Red Sox, members of the Intercounty Baseball League (IBL), are proud to announce the re-signing of right-handed pitcher Jeremias Sucre (Etobicoke, ON).

Sucre enters his third season with the Red Sox, continuing to build on his development since joining the IBL from Ryerson University. In 2024, he posted a 6-5 record over 12 appearances with a 5.28 ERA, recording 42 strikeouts across 64.2 innings. Over his IBL career, Sucre has totaled 80 strikeouts and just 39 walks over 112 innings pitched.

“Jeremias gives us a chance to win every time he takes the mound,” said Red Sox GM Jeff Lounsbury. “He throws strikes, competes hard, and consistently goes deep into games. I believe his best baseball is still ahead of him, and this could be the year he takes the next step toward becoming one of the league’s top Canadian arms.”

Founded in 1911, the Brantford Red Sox have captured 15 IBL championships. Admission to all 2025 home games is FREE.
